Vintage Indian Clothing

A brief and non-linear pictorial history of Indian fashion. And the women who are much more than their (often) fabulous clothes.

My "avatar" is usually a photograph of the actress Kanan Devi.

Chithi mein bhasha ka uchit prayog hota hai" (The proper use of language can only be found in letters). So said an auto rickshaw driver I met in Mumbai who remembers all the letters his grandfather wrote to him unlike the SMSes he receives these days.

So what is not to like about an epistolary movie like The Lunchbox?! Plus attention is paid to tiny costume details.
